APPRENTICE SINGERS

Males & Females, age 11 to 14

(Must be 11 by September 1)

SENIOR SINGERS

Males & Females, age 14 to 20

(Must be 14 by September 1)

Please prepare a song to sing.  Please bring sheet music for our accompanist, or a CD with background tracks.  There will be a dance audition as well as movement is an important part of the training and performance program.  The dance audition will be done in the form of a class.  Previous dance training is recommended. 

Apprentice and Senior Dancer Singers for the 2008-2009 season are now completed and we thank all of those who came out to audition for a placement in the program.

The next auditions for apprentice and/or senior singers in our scholarship training programs which begin in September and run through to the following July and possible performance in the Grandstand Show at the Calgary Stampede will be held in June of 2009.  Please watch our website for further information on dates and times in the fall.

Previous dance training is necessary.  Ballet training is mandatory.  Auditions will be held in the form of a class.  Please have appropriate footwear for ballet, tap and jazz with you.

Junior cast auditions for the 2008 season and the junior cast for the 2008 Grandstand Show were held on the weekend of February 8 & 9, 2008 and we have selected our cast for this year's show.   Thank you to all everyone who came to audition, we hope to see you at future auditions for the Young Canadians.

Our next auditions for the Junior Cast (males & females aged 7 to 11) will be in the spring of 2009.   Please check back as these dates will be posted on the website in the fall of 2008 and may be subject to change  or call our office at 261-0129 for more information.
